Hump day Brain Teaser....

A can of soda and a candy bar cost a total of $1.50.
The can of soda is $1.00 more than the cost of the candy bar.
What is the price of each item?

The candy bar cost .25 and the soda cost 1.25

Um, well, in order to process this I need to know a few answers: Were either one of these on sale? Was there a coupon used? Does this include sales tax? Are we using "Euros" or US currency?

Answer; The candy bar costs 25 cents and the can of soda costs one dollar and 25 cents. That was easy right??
