The Holidays are coming........

Just wanted to let everyone know that Yvonne and I will be hosting Thanksgiving Dinner this year, and Christmas Eve will be at Tuna's House.

Over the next week or so Yvonne and I will be working on the menu and will be asking everyone for a "DTP"........(Dish to Pass of course). Feel free to give us a head count when you get a chance.

The guard will not let anyone from the mainland to the island, or anyone from the island to the mainland. If the guard catches someone, he sends him or her back. The guard sleeps for 30 seconds and then is awake for 5 minutes. The island is surrounded by man-eating sharks, and the boy does not have anything with him except for his own shirt and his pants. Update on Alicia

Alicia is coming home today!!!!!! She has to give herself Lovenox shots, but she says that's ok as long as she gets out!!!!!!!!! Welcome home Leesh!!!!!!

Latest update on Alicia

Alicia will not be going home today. It may be tomorrow the Doc told her, depending on her therapeutic level for the blood thinners. It needs to be 2.0 or higher. But, the Doc also told her that if it gets up to 1.6 or 1.7 she could go home tomorrow. He said her primary doc needs to look at all the test results tomorrow and he has to make the final determination. Right now her level is only 1.2. So we will see what tomorrow brings. She is bored out of her mind. She is walking the hall and pretty mobile, but bored ( and a getting cranky, lol). I'll try to keep you all updated as I hear anything.

Update on Alicia.........(click here for more info)

When I left the Hospital around 10pm last evening, she was still in a bit of shock of the news that she has blood clots on both sides of her lungs! She felt that she had been making exceptional progress and was "out of the woods" so to speak since the surgery was 5 or 6 weeks ago. They were starting her on an IV of Heparin. They will also be giving her an oral version of the same, however since it takes a bit of time for the oral version to kick in, they needed to get it into her system asap.
I believe they told me her room number is #2407, Unity Hospital (formerly Park Ridge).
